Rastatt Rural district: a cycling paradise

Numerous attractive cycle routes run through the district of Rastatt. For example, the PAMINA-Rheinauen cycle route allows cyclists to experience the German and French banks of the Rhine. Several museums and attractions invite you to stop off along this 130 km route.

The 45 km farm shop tour, on the other hand, offers charming cultural landscapes, interesting production sites and regional products. Freshly baked bread, fruit, vegetables, meat from our own livestock and Baden wines are waiting to be savoured on this circular tour.

Another special cycling highlight in the district of Rastatt is the Tour de Murg, which leads from the heights of the Black Forest along the river Murg to the Rhine plain in Rastatt. On this tour, you can travel comfortably by light rail (or the Murgtäler Radexpress) to the starting point and then cycle downhill through the Murg valley in a very relaxed manner. The tour can also be shortened as desired thanks to the many light rail stops.

The Rhine Valley Cycle Route from Basel to Heppenheim, together with the Ortenau Cycle Route, also leads through the diverse district of Rastatt and provides the cyclist with many interesting insights into the natural and cultural landscapes.
